Ashley and Amos Tie the Knot

There is something really special about growing up with people and then witnessing their step into the next phase of their lives. When I heard that my longtime childhood friend Ashley was getting married, I was over the moon. When she asked me to photograph her wedding it was just icing on the cake. This was a backyard wedding with a diva twist and Ashley looked GORGEOUS.  Here are some of the day's highlights...

Deanna and Nicolas Engagement Shoot

Doing an engagement shoot is always a little strange, so when the bride-to-be suggested bringing wine and using Bud Light as a prop, I knew we were in for a fun day.  After they set the vibe as laid back, I quickly started brain storming to come up with some ideas that would be a perfect reflection of their wonderful friendship and incredibly affectionate relationship.

We decided to incorporate their hiking bags (they got engaged on a hike up Mt. Whitney), her favorite type of flower and some vintage suitcases to compliment their love for playing dress up (Nich loves bow ties and knows to tie them himself).  Deanna wanted to shoot at the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena, which could not have been a better metaphor for marriage.

Here are some highlights of our fun day and really great shoot.
